This was the first assignment I received at KASK. The site we were given the area of “Dok Noord Ghent”. The assignment included designing a house on water. That house consisted of six blocks of three by three meters. Two of those volumes had to be placed as a floor.

At that moment I realized that this could be achieved in real life. As we hadn’t been given a profile of a resident, it gave me the room to develop my own style. We hadn't been given a profile of the resident either. This allowed you to develop your own style.

Looking back at it, after a year of studies and acquiring more knowledge and expertise, I can say that I am still satisfied with the outcome of the result
